2026 Kia Sorento Hybrid Powertrain

Globally, the Kia Sorento is available with several engine options, including a 1.6L turbo petrol-hybrid and a 2.5L petrol variant. In India, Kia is expected to adapt its reliable 1.5L petrol engine for the hybrid version of the Sorento. This will position the Sorento as Kia’s first hybrid model in India, while the hybrid version of the Seltos is anticipated to follow in 2027.

Competition & Pricing

The 2026 Kia Sorento is projected to start at around Rs 35 lakh. Upon its launch, it will compete with established models like the Skoda Kodiaq, Toyota Fortuner, and MG Gloster.
